WHO WE ARE?

The Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages (VACL) is the peak body for Indigenous Languages in the State of Victoria. Our focus is language revitalization, language keeping, research and maintaining our heritage.  Our languages play an fundamental role for our sense of belonging, identity and our future generations. Our languages uphold thousands of years of knowledges, philosophies, and our ways of knowing and being. Our languages are fundamental to gain a better understanding of Country and our place within it.

Our courses aim to foster interest, curiosity and most importantly, open a safe space where you decide the scope and pace of your personal journey towards language revitalization. We strongly believe that our languages will help us to heal, further connect and bring back our heritage as a living practice This e-learning platform is intended to expand our conversation and connection to our mother tongues and to encourage and envision a better future for those yet to come.
